Nayara Doubles Fuel Exports in November, Taps New Markets
In November, Nayara Energy doubled its fuel exports — shipping about 150,000 barrels per day, up from 75,000 barrels per day in October — marking its highest exports since March.
The company expanded beyond its traditional buyers, sending supplies to new destinations including the Bahamas, Taiwan, Sudan, Brazil and Turkey.
Around one-third of the November shipments were routed via ship-to-ship (STS) transfer hubs — locations frequently used when exporters wish to obscure or anonymize final buyer identity.
The ramp-up in exports coincided with a rebound in crude imports — in November, Nayara imported about 408,000 barrels per day, entirely from Russia. This helped the refinery operate at near-optimal capacity despite geopolitical and sanction-linked challenges.
