OYO to Expand Footprint in Rajasthan’s Religious Tourism Circuit
Global hospitality tech firm OYO has announced plans to strengthen its presence in Rajasthan’s growing religious tourism market by focusing on key pilgrimage destinations like Khatu Shyam Ji, Salasar, and Ajmer. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the travel experience for pilgrims while tapping into the surging demand for faith-based tourism in India.
The announcement was made during a Travel Agents Meet in Jaipur, attended by 135 travel agents from across the state including Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, and Jodhpur. OYO shared its strategic vision to collaborate more deeply with the travel community and accelerate tourism growth in Rajasthan.
As part of the expansion, OYO introduced its premium stay options—Sunday, DanCenter, Clubhouse, and Palette—which will be offered exclusively through trusted travel partners. These properties range from boutique luxury stays to homely, community-driven experiences.
OYO also took the opportunity to recognize top-performing travel agents for their contributions to promoting tourism in the region.
Pawas Sharma, Regional Head at OYO, noted that Rajasthan’s religious sites are gaining immense popularity and the company aims to provide high-quality, comfortable stays for pilgrims. By expanding its agent network and offerings, OYO intends to elevate the travel experience while contributing to the state’s tourism and economy.
