
Partnership Agreement Signed:
The Ministry of AYUSH entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zepto Limited and the Ayush Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL) to expand online access to AYUSH medicines and wellness products across India.
Objective of the MoU:
The agreement aims to strengthen digital discovery, improve consumer access, and ensure quality compliance and trust in traditional healthcare products offered through the delivery platform.
Zepto’s Role:
Zepto, known as a quick-commerce delivery platform, will host a dedicated AYUSH storefront on its app/website, helping users find and purchase verified traditional medicines and wellness items conveniently.
Manufacturer Support:
AYUSHEXCIL will identify and recommend eligible AYUSH manufacturers—especially MSMEs—that meet quality and regulatory requirements to be featured on the Zepto platform.
Ensuring Quality and Compliance:
The partnership emphasizes regulatory compliance, transparent sourcing, and verified educational content to build consumer confidence, including promotion of standards like the AYUSH Quality Mark.
Consumer Awareness Programs:
Joint initiatives will be undertaken to increase consumer awareness about authentic AYUSH products and responsible usage through digital channels.
Strategic Vision & Alignment:
Government officials highlighted that this collaboration aligns with national priorities — integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern digital infrastructure, expanding market reach for AYUSH products, and supporting MSME growth.
