India’s leading quick commerce platform Zepto has launched Nova, a dedicated initiative designed to empower early-stage manufacturing startups by giving them direct access to consumers, logistics infrastructure, and real-time market demand.
The Nova cohort marks a strategic shift in Zepto’s role within India’s startup ecosystem — positioning the company not just as a delivery platform, but as a scaling partner for product-led and manufacturing-driven ventures.
Manufacturing startups often face structural challenges such as limited distribution reach, high supply-chain costs, and difficulty validating demand at scale. Zepto Nova aims to address these challenges by allowing startups to leverage Zepto’s hyperlocal delivery network, operational expertise, and large consumer base.
Through Nova, startups can test products in real markets, gather consumer feedback, optimize pricing, and build brand visibility — all while operating within an established commerce ecosystem.
The Nova initiative is structured as a six-month cohort-based program focusing on:
The program is aligned with India’s broader mission to strengthen domestic manufacturing and promote innovation-led entrepreneurship.
The inaugural Nova cohort features eight manufacturing startups, selected from a strong pool of applicants across diverse categories such as food & beverages, consumer goods, sustainability, toys, and emerging technologies.
The first cohort includes:
Several of these startups are women-led or first-generation ventures, reflecting Zepto’s focus on inclusive entrepreneurship and regional innovation.
For startups, Nova provides:
By opening its platform to manufacturers, Zepto Nova creates a powerful blueprint for how technology-driven marketplaces can support India’s next generation of physical-product startups.
With plans to expand future cohorts, Nova is expected to become a recurring initiative — helping innovative manufacturers move from pilot stage to commercial scale faster than ever before.
