Leading Developer Recognition
Onix Renewable Ltd has been recognised as the top developer under the PM-KUSUM Component-C programme in Gujarat for commissioning the highest number of solar projects under this scheme.
Announcement at Vibrant Gujarat 2026
The achievement was officially announced at the Vibrant Gujarat 2026 Summit, where Onix Renewable also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to pursue broader investments in renewable energy and associated infrastructure.
MoU Signing Details
The MoU was signed by Divyesh Savaliya, Chairman and Managing Director of Onix Renewable, in the presence of Rushikesh Patel, the state’s Energy and Petrochemicals Minister. Hardik Adhiya, COO of Onix Renewable, highlighted the agreement’s investment commitments.
Proposed Investments — PM-KUSUM Component-C Projects
Under the PM-KUSUM Component-C initiative, Onix Renewable has proposed solar project investments totalling approximately ₹121 crore and ₹280 crore at various sites in Gujarat. Execution of these projects is scheduled to begin in 2026, and they are projected to create around 680 direct and indirect jobs.
Green Ammonia Facility Proposal
The company has also proposed a green ammonia production facility at Fulzar in Rajkot district with an investment plan of ₹10,000 crore. This project is expected to support about 1,500 jobs and aims for commercial operations by 2028.
Underground Power Infrastructure Projects
Beyond solar generation, Onix Renewable plans investment of roughly ₹75 crore in underground power cable infrastructure to enhance distribution network reliability and safety. These works are also slated to start in 2026 and are expected to generate around 200 employment opportunities.
Context of PM-KUSUM Scheme
The PM-KUSUM scheme, including Component-C, is part of India’s decentralised solar strategy to support rural power supply, reduce transmission losses, and expand renewable capacity across agricultural and feeder levels.
